![]() Since you have both the Notes and Reminders apps, you’re probably wondering why the Stickies app is even necessary. Jot down a note, stick it to your desktop, and it’s there when you need it. ![]() I do remember a similar freeware app to stickies i used to use, i'll see if i can't dig it up for you - from memory it was the same as the native app, but had features like tagging and stuff. The Stickies app on your Mac is a handy, built-in tool that works just like those physical sticky notes you use at your desk. ![]() it's now my bookmark tool, contact manager, todo list, shopping list, the works. I learned to love NV + simplenote, purely because of the convenience of having everything pushed to all my devices. If you like a spatial arrangement like stickies, then nothing short of stickies will do I actually prefer it too, but due to the huge volume of notes i take for research, it just wasn't practical (even with spaces). Having said all that, it's highly a matter of personal preference with regards to workflow. You hit your hotkey, type "jef" and your note will be found, there and ready for you to edit. You can also use cmd+shift+v the same as stickies cmd+shift+y (new note from selection) Not really like yojimbo at all it's around 1/200th of the resource overhead, and you can assign a global hotkey to pop it up / hide it. ![]()
